Sergey Krendelev graduated from Novosibirsk State University in 1973 (PhD in theoretical mechanics). From 1982 to 1996 he worked at the Institute of Mathematics. S.L. Sobolev SB RAS on such topics as: problems of differential equations, mathematical models in catalysis.

Sergey has been a professor at the Novosibirsk State University since 1998, where he lectures on mathematical analysis and works on a project dedicated to cryptographic databases. He also acts as the head of the laboratory of modern computer technology. In 2012, Sergei received a mega-grant from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation on Secure Cloud.
